Class B announces top honors

Following the best season in program history, the Dunkirk Marauders football team was showered with postseason awards with the announcement of the Class B South All League Selections.
Senior standout Alton Ingram was voted Defensive MVP and five other players were voted to either first team offense or defense. Ingram was also named first team running back.
Other Marauders receiving first team offense accolades were wide receiver Juan Dumas and offensive linemen Nick Jones and Andrew Vetter. On the defensive side of the ball, linebackers Elwin Gomez and Chauval Black were named to the first team.
Fredonia/Westfield/Brocton’s two first-teamers were defensive back Mike Poletto and linebacker Jake Green.Springville Griffith Institute running Ian Baker and Olean quarterback Garrett Boldt earned Co-Offensive MVP honors.
The Olean Huskies led all Class B South teams with seven first-team nominations, including Boldt, wide receiver Joe Jedrosko, offensive linemen Jordan McLaughlin and Nate Bradley, defensive linemen Darius Williams and Alex Pantuso along with linebackers Dylan Vincent and Icar Simon.
Olean also picked up Coach of the Year honors for coach Phil Vecchio as well as the team Sportsmanship award.
Rounding out the first team offensive selections were East Aurora/Holland quarterback Matt Boss, SGI running back Marcus James, Pioneer running back Todd Thompson, East Aurora/Holland running back Jacey Jakubczak, East Aurora/Holland wide receiver James Raczynski, SGI offensive lineman John Domes and Pioneer lineman Ben Kacmarek.
On defense, the following players also earned first team status: SGI defensive lineman Lexus Pollard, East Aurora/Holland defensive lineman Nick Montgomery, Pioneer linebacker Mike Rigerman and East Aurora/Holland linebacker Joe Montgomery.
Dylan Perlino of East Aurora/Holland was selected as the first team kicker.
Six more Marauders earned second-team nominations. Quarterback Evon Hernandez led the way on offense, along with running back Isaiah Velez, wide receiver Jaziah Rivera and offensive lineman Peyton Moreland. Defensively, lineman Dontrell Clemons and linebacker Tywon Wright earned second-team nods.
The FWB Hillbillies were recognized with three second-teamers, including quarterback Max Bates, wide receiver Chris Catalano and offensive lineman Nick Piper.
The remaining second-team offense is as follows: quarterback Connor O’Brien (SGI), running backs Rowland Marsh (Pioneer) and Hunter Czora (East Aurora/Holland), wide receiver Derek Dandrea (Olean) and offensive linemen Mike Hannon (SGI), Derek Biscaro (Pioneer), Zach Parr (Olean) and Josh Staniszewski (East Aurora/Holland).
Filling out the second team defense are defensive linemen Josh Steff (SGI), Brent Nourse (Pioneer), Austin Coon (SGI) and Greg Willson (East Aurora/Holland), linebackers Caleb Riordan (Pioneer) and Nick Fratercangelo (Olean), defensive backs Quincy Gayton (Olean), Shermar Turner (Olean), Matt Ferrara (East Aurora/Holland) and Owen Smith (East Aurora/Holland).
Zach Linderman was honored as the second team kicker.
