DKFR has strong showings in defeat
The Panama swim team was too much for DKFR on Monday as they left Dunkirk High School with a 104-64 victory in CCAA boys high school swimming and diving.
For DKFR, the second-place medley relay team saw a change in lineup, and it paid off as their Sectional qualifying time dropped even further, to 1:56.08.
Members of the team were Joshua Saye, Mathew Brockelbank, Matthew Zevenbergen and Tyler Donahue.
Donahue had another great night in the individual events, winning the 200-yard individual medley (2:21.96) and tying for first in the 100 freestyle with a time of :53.74.
Saye took second in both the individual medley and the backstroke, narrowly missing Sectionals in the backstroke with a 1:04.81.
Zevenbergen won the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:04.31.
Joining Donahue, Saye and Zevenbergen in the 400 freestyle relay was Sean Brown. The team took first place while narrowly missing the Sectional time by just :1.2 seconds, with a 3:50.65.
Mathew Brockelbank took second place in the breaststroke.
