Dunkirk Little League Registration 2017

Registration will be at the American Legion, located at 21 Central Ave. Dunkirk, NY.

Dates and times for registration are as follows: Tuesday, Feb. 28, 6-8 p.m.; Thursday, March 2, 6-8 p.m; Sunday, March 5, 1-4 p.m.

For Baseball, all players who will be 4 years old to 8 years old before December 31, 2016. And any 9 year olds who will not reach the age of 13 before May 1, 2017 may register. Please Note the age date change for ages 4-8 years olds

For Softball, all players who will be 6 years old before Jan. 1, 2016 and who will not reach the age of 13 before Jan. 1, 2017 may register.

For Senior Baseball, all players who will be 13 years old before May 1, 2017 and will not be reach the age of 17 before May 1, 2017 may register. (This is for all Dunkirk Residents)

All new and returning players must register.

All new players must bring their original birth certificate to registration. Hospital and baptismal certificates are NOT acceptable.

The fee is $40 per player. The fee includes team jersey with name/number and pants that players will keep. This is for all age groups T-Ball, Minor & Major Softball, Minor & Major Baseball. The price is caped off at $110.00 for 3 or more family members registering. The fee for the Senior Little League is $50.00 (Dunkirk Residents Only)

Parent/Guardian MUST be present at registration.

Volunteers are needed to serve as managers, coaches and team parents for the 2016 season. Information about how to volunteer or questions about registration can be directed to League President Gary Haase at 679-6929.

Fredonia Little League Registration

The Fredonia Little League will be holding registration for the upcoming 2017 season today from 9 a.m. to noon.

Both registration days will take place in the Fredonia High School cafeteria. The cost is $50 for T-Ball and $75 for all other leagues. We also have a family cap of $185. New players will need to bring a photocopy of their government-issued birth certificate. Hospital and religious birth certificates are not valid. Returning players can get a bigger pair of league issued pants ONLY if they return the old pair back to the league.

Parents that wish to coach/manage in the league will need to fill out their coaching applications at the time of registration and must bring a photocopy of their drivers license. Dunkirk Lakeshore Bowling Association Tourney

The Dunkirk Lakeshore Bowling Association has scheduled its second Annual Women’s Doubles Handicap Tournament for Saturday, March 18 and Sunday, March 19.

The tournament will be held at Hanover Lanes in Silver Creek.

Two shifts are scheduled for Saturday (5 p.m. and 7 p.m.) with a single shift on Sunday (1 p.m.).

The tournament is USBC sanctioned, and is open to all women bowlers who certified in the DLBA this season. Entry forms and rules are available at Hanover Lanes, Chick’s Lanes, K&L Lanes, and Lucky Lanes, or can be printed from the association website: www.dunkirklakeshoreusbc.com.

DHS Spring Sports Meeting

There will be a meeting for all parents and athletes planning in participating in a spring sport for Dunkirk.

The meeting will be held in the high school auditorium from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. and will include meeting Athletic Director Mike Sarratori, other members of the administration and athletic trainer Cleon Clayton. The meeting will also focus on reviewing important sections of the school’s athletic policy, as well as meetings with individual coaches.
