Lady Cougars pick up 12-2 win over Brocton

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Cassadaga Lady Cougars (3-4,3-1) defeated the Brocton Lady Bulldog (1-3, 1-1) by a score of 12-2 Thursday in CCAA West 2 high school softball action.

Alyssa Hahn earned the win, allowing four hits and striking out four in five innings of work. Hahn was relieved by Brittyn LaBaron, who struck out two over the final two innings.

Megan Gloss took the loss for Brocton in a complete game effort.

Leading the offense for Cassadaga was Lexi Ruiz with three hits and two RBIs. Alyssa Watts added two hits with one run driven in. Brittyn LaBaron, Jenna Caskey and Watts had triples while Montanna Pope added a double while driving in two runs.

Brocton’s lone extra base hit came from Michaela Manos with a double that led to her scoring.
