Westfield blanks Pine Valley

SOUTH DAYTON — Goalkeeper Drew Shultz made two saves in the shutout as Westfield downed Pine Valley, 4-0, in a Central Division game called with 8:14 left because of lightning.

Madyson Abbey scored the first goal 2:17 into the game followed by Katie Bodenmiller at 15:30 of the first half. Julie Smith connected on a penalty kick at 32:28 and Laura Johnston closed out the scoring at 33:58 in the first half for the Wolverines (1-0-2, 1-0-0).

Haley Campbell made eight saves for Pine Valley (0-2-0, 0-1-0).
