Fredonia swim team defeats Frewsburg
FREWSBURG — Fredonia High School’s girls swimming team defeated Frewsburg 124 to 62 on Tuesday.
Five separate swimmers won individual events for Fredonia, along with relay teams in the 200 yard medley and the 200 yard freestyle.
Fredonia was led by Riley Drummond and McKayla Polowy, who each won two individual events. Drummond won the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.52, along with the 100 yard backstroke in 59.82. Polowy won the 200 yard freestyle in 2:08.73, in addition to winning the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:40.74. Drummond was also one of the swimmers in both relay wins.
Other winners for Fredonia included Mackenzie Quinn in the 200 yard IM (2:26.08), Alexandra Pucci-Schaefer in the one-meter diving (198.45), and Tori Spacc in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:15.78).
