“The team continues to play better each game,” Fredonia coach Jim Rush said. “We had a good amount of possession and were able to capitalize on our opportunities. Our team defense was solid. We will continue to work hard and improve. We want to be playing our best soccer next week when the sectional playoffs get underway.”
The Hillbillies finished league play at 3-6-1 and are currently 4-8-1 overall. They have one regular-season game remaining, a non-league contest at Ellicottville on Friday.
The Golden Falcons finished 2-6-2 in league and are 4-7-4 overall.
“This was a good team win and it was great that it happened on Senior Day,” Rush said. “Everyone contributed to the victory.”
