For the second time in less than a month, CrossFit Dunkirk competed in an event in the Buffalo area.

The latest event was the Movember Throwdown which helped raise money and awareness for prostate cancer. CrossFit Dunkirk sent two teams to the event, and both teams were able to rank inside the top 10 in their respective divisions.

The women’s modified team qualified for the finals and finished seventh overall with only six points out from a spot on the podium. The men’s RX team finished tied for eighth overall with just three points outside of the top 5.

“Both teams competed with great intensity,” CrossFit Dunkirk coach Cody Felt said. “I think our teams prepped well and performed at the level they are capable of, which I’m very happy for. Going forward, we need to fix transitions times to capitalize on opportunities. There’s always going to be room for improvement, but for newly formed teams, this is a good path.”
