Narraway sets Forestville bowling record

Phil Narraway rolled a school-record 747 series Monday as Forestville’s bowling team blanked Clymer-Sherman-Panama in both the boys’ and the girls’ matches.

Narraway had games of 244, 279 and 224 to set the Hornets record.

His team had a score of 938-965-845-2,748, while C-S-P rolled 523-533-603-1,679.

Heath Reed had a 164-385 for C-S-P while Sam Gangemi recorded a 137-358, marshall hallowell went for 257-600 for Forestville.

The Lady Hornets charted 583-522-586-1,691 while Clymer-Sherman-Panama went for 465-465-418-1,348.

The leading girls’ bowler was Ashley Forbes of Forestville with a 202-526. Her teammate, Justine van Arsdale, had a 177-461. C-S-P’s Megan van Vaulkenburg rolled a 154-417 and Kamryn Rattler had a 137-395.


CLYMER — Forestville’s bowling team swept Chautauqua Lake Tuesday in a high school bowling match at Cutting Lanes.

Forestville’s boys scored a 865-755-757-2,377 to beat the Thunderbirds’ 492-562-496-1,550. The Lady Hornets also won, 4-0, with a 605-661-548-1,814 score.

In the boys’ match, Forestville’s Marshall Hallowell rolled games of 188, 203 and 199 for a 590 series. Phil Narraway recorded a score of 205-165-193-563 for the Hornets. On the Thunderbirds’ side, Brandon Barringon had a 153 game.

Ashley Forbes rolled games of 214 and 157 for Forestville in the girls’ match. Justine van Arsdale had two 166 games. Chautauqua Lake’s Tiffany Parson recorded a 136.

The Thunderbirds’ next match is against Clymer-Sherman-Panama. Forestville hosts Frewsburg today.


Frewsburg boys bowling defeated Brocton, 4-0, on Tuesday night at Frewsburg Lanes Bowling Alley. Frewsburg won with scores of 868-870-867-2,605. Brocton’s co-ed squad tallied 589-578-537-1,704.

Malik Williams was the high score in the first game for Frewsburg with a game of 232. Josh Snow carried Frewsburg the rest of the way, with 256 in the second game, along with 199 in game three. Snow had the highest total on the night, with 184-256-199-639. Caleb Terhune was second on the team with 171-170-193-534.

Brocton was led by Jordan Krystofiak with 156-184-188-528. Brooke Jesionowski was next for Brocton with 152-120-121-393.

Brocton faces off against Randolph tonight, while Frewsburg takes on Forestville at Lucky Lanes.
