Black Knights roll past Trojans

SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek boys (5-19) and girls (13-11) bowling teams both picked up 3-1 victories against Southwestern in a Division I matchup, Thursday evening.

Silver Creek’s boys rolled past the Trojans shooting 773-790-725-2,288 for the win. Daniel Paterson led Silver Creek with games of 158-220-177-555. Corey Paterson was second in line scoring 158-191-498, and Bryan Berek shot a season-high of 182.

Southwestern’s top bowler was Hans Vanderzyben (234-198-179-611), followed by Jordan Smith who shot 167-169-153-489.

The Silver Creek girls took their series scoring 657-676-710-2043 opposed to Southwestern’s 753-580-643-1,949.

Top bowler for Silver Creek was Andrea Olson (160-160-182-502), followed by McKenna Speklasa’s 147-151-422.

Alexis Berry led Southwestern shooting 154-141-180-475, Morgan Wilson followed with 145-145-136-426.

Clymer-Sherman sweeps CLCS

CUTTING — The Clymer-Sherman boys and girls bowling squads swept all eight of their games against Chautauqua Lake (CLCS), Thursday evening.

The boys team defeated CLCS 1920-1,455 in the series.

Heath Reed bowled 159-447 for Clymer-Sherman. Jaedon Enos led CLCS with a 349 series.

On the girls’ side, Clymer-Sherman defeated CLCS via sweep, 1,531-1,224. Top bowler for Clymer-Sherman was Megan VanVaulkenburg 165-421. Taylor Mantsch led Chautauqua Lake shooting 138-350.

Chautauqua Lake’s next bowling match will be held Wednesday against Forestville, at Lucky Lanes.
