Cornfield sisters steal the spotlight

ANGOLA — The Lake Shore girls basketball team pulled off a 59-50 win over St. Mary’s in a non-league game Thursday night.
Shawni Cornfield literally stole the show for Lake Shore, posting a double-double of 27 points and 13 steals. Her sister, Lani Cornfield, also had a day stealing the ball five times to go along with her seven points, five rebounds and five assists. Jaydn Jones posted a team-high six assists with two steals. Jayln Jimerson posted six rebounds, four assists and two steals; Celina Park scored 11 points, as well as record four steals and four rebounds.
Lake Shore (3-2, 1-0) plays next on Monday, at Springville.
