30-point quarter a nightmare for Dream, Hurricane win

OBSERVER Staff Report

DUBOIS — The Chautauqua Hurricane (3-2, 1-1) defeated the Dubois Dream, 105-94, in local semi-pro basketball, Sunday.

“I thought that we came out pretty strong on the first quater, but they withstood out first run and overtook the lead in the second quarter,” Jerome Moss. “We went back-and-fourth for a while but we overcame them with a 30-point fourth quarter.”

Johnny Marsh led the Hurricane offense with 24 points. Reuel Moore dropped 20, Marcus Faegin had 18, Larry Rivers 15 and Ralph Williams scored 10 in the win.

“That game was significant because that puts us in good position for our next game against the Jamestown Jackals,” Moss said. “It gives us the chance to take first place in the division.”

The Hurricanes travel to take on the Jackals at JCC, Friday.
