Bradley, Krasnek lead Devils at SUNYACs

BUFFALO — Fredonia is sixth after three days of the SUNYAC Men’s Swimming and Diving championship meet at the Flickinger Center in downtown Buffalo.

Fredonia’s top finish Friday came in 1-meter springboard diving finals where sophomore Christian Krasnek finished second with 504.70 points. He was second in the 3-meter event on Wednesday, making him a two-time SUNYAC Second Team All-Conference. In addition, freshman Patrick McCormick was seventh in the 1-meter Friday with 374 points.

In swimming finals Friday night:

— Graham Jones, a senior, was fourth in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:44.15. He had a preliminary time of 1:45.38, three seconds faster than his pre-meet qualifier

— Fifth after preliminaries in 51.42 seconds, senior Bill Bradley (Dunkirk) finished sixth in the final of the 100-yard butterfly. His finals time was 51.31 seconds.

— A sophomore, Pat Woods finished eighth in the 100-yard backstroke. He had a preliminary time of 54.73 seconds and went 54.25 seconds at night..

In consolation finals:

Drew Page finished 15th in the 400-yard individual medley. He had a finals time of 4:26.45 after dropping nearly 10 seconds during preliminaries.

Ben Chatley was 15th in the 200 freestyle. He had a 1:49.14 in the morning, 1:49.24 at night.

The Blue Devils finished seventh in the 200-yard medley relay with the quartet of Woods, sophomore Cameron Criss, Bradley, and freshman Aaron Gonzalez.

The Blue Devils have 231 points and Buffalo State has 244 in the quest for Battle of Lake Erie team points.
