CSHOF to honor locals with Legacy Awards

JAMESTOWN — The Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame will honor outstanding contributors to Chautauqua County sports by presenting endowed Legacy Society Awards at its 37th annual Induction Dinner on Monday, Feb. 19 at the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club:

The Bill Rollinger and Tony LeVoie Legacy Award – male swimmer – Cole Manwaring, Panama

The Grace M. Dolan Legacy Award – female swimmer – Riley Drummond, Fredonia

The Julie Gawronski Tickle Legacy Award – female multisport – Emilee Hanlon, Dunkirk

The Tom Prechtl Legacy Award – male multisport – Trevor Micek, Maple Grove

The Ken Martin Legacy Award – baseball – Reid Tarnowski, Fredonia

The Anthony “Dony” Deppas Legacy Award – male basketball – Devin Pope, Chautauqua Lake

The “To Be Announced Legacy” Award – female basketball – Natalie Angeletti, Panama

The Jack Keeney Legacy Awards – outstanding Panama Central student/athletes – Thomas Delahoy and Quinn Payne

The Ted Olsen and Bill Present Legacy Awards – outstanding Jamestown High student/athletes – Andrew Pumford and Allie Stockwell

The James A. Sharp Legacy Award: Dennis Webster, WJTN Radio

Inductees in the CSHOF’s Class of 2018 are Dick Cole, Curt Fischer, Lori Franchina, Sheilah (Lingenfelter) Gulas, the late Jim Riggs, Fran Sirianni, Clem Worosz and Phil Young.

The Feb. 19 banquet will begin with a hospitality session at 5 p.m. followed by dinner at 6 p.m.

Jamestown Cycle Shop, 10 Harrison St., Jamestown; Matt’s News, 93 E. Third St., Dunkirk; Tony’s Shoe Repair, 12 N. Portage St., Westfield; and the Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame, 15 W.
