Dunkirk’s Bradley wins 4 swim events in FSU victory

The Fredonia men’s swimming and diving teams had one of its strongest showings this season in a meet Saturday at Brockport.

Bill Bradley (Dunkirk) won four events, and Graham Jones and Cameron Criss were triple winners. Christian Krasnek won both the 3-meter and 1-meter boards.

Bradley and Jones teamed with Pat Woods and Criss in the 200-yard medley relay to win in a time of 1:42.32.

Jones also won the 500-yard free relay in 5:05.40. Ben Chatley finished second. Jones also won the 1,000-yard free in a time of 10:33.80.

Bradley won the 200 butterfly (2:02.19) and the 100 fly (53.93). He was also a member of the 200-free relay team that finished in 1:31.15.

Criss joined Bradley in the 200-free relay, and also won the 50-yard freestyle in 23.04.

Krasnek scored a 272.40 off the 1-meter and 273.50 off the 3-meter board.

The men won the team score, 165-119.

The Fredonia women’s swimming and diving team also had one of its strongest showings of the year at Brockport on Saturday. Alyson Baumann led the way, winning a pair of events. She won the 1,000-yard freestyle in 11:16.97, and the 500-yard free in 5:29.41.

Sierra Parson won the 200-yard breast stroke in a time of 2:50.56. Chelsea Spiegel took the 200-yard IM in 2:21.77.

Brockport won the team score, 166-109.

The Devils are home next weekend against Cortland. It is their final home meet of the year and their final meet before the SUNYAC Championships.
