HS Bowling Challenge held

The 8th Annual High School Bowling Challenge was held on Sunday at Lucky Lanes in Fredonia, featuring many of the top high school bowlers from around the Southern Tier. The event is contested with separate boys and girls divisions using bowlers’ highest averages for handicap purposes. Each year the tournament features the lane oiling pattern that will be used for the coming Sectional Tournament. Pictured left to right are: Girls runner-up Lillian VanArsdale (Forestville), girls champion Brooke Jesionowski (Brocton), boys champion Bryson Kolassa (Fredonia) and boys runner-up Trevor Skelly (Dunkirk). Other bowlers who qualified for match play in third place were Jack Frost III (Forestville) and Amelia Sprague (Falconer). Bowlers who qualified for the semifinals and finished in fourth through sixth places were: Girls — Tristian Olsen (Forestville), Tatum Stitzel (Gowanda) and Sydney Frost (Forestville); boys — Nate Barlette-Dye (Forestville), Zack Kawski (Fredonia) and Brandon Erick (Forestville).
