Hurricane grab home opener over Buffalo, 126-91

BROCTON — The Chautauqua Hurricane evened their season record at 1-1 with a 126-91 win over the Buffalo Blue Hawks Saturday in their home opener at Brocton High School.

Johnny Marsh led the Hurricane with 32 points, while Reuel Moore had 17 and Marcus Feagan and Larry Rivers had 12 each.

The Hurricane went out to a 30-13 lead after the first quarter and never really looked back.

“The guys really dug down and played some solid defense and we were able to pull away,” Hurricane coach Jerome Moss said.

“We had a really nice crowd tonight. A lot of people came out to support us,” Moss added.

The next game for the Hurricane is Saturday in Rochester against the Roc City Ravens.
