STATEN ISLAND — On Saturday, senior captain Lydia Lanski concluded her final indoor track meet of her high school career running for nine seconds flat in the 55-meter hurdles (22nd place). Lanski set and then broke her own record in the hurdles three times this season.

Junior Diego Rey concluded his season finishing 23rd at the state meet in the 1000m with a time of 2:40.62. Sophomore Emily Brown was also 23rd at the State Meet in the 1500m. Brown ran a time of 5:02.81.

“All three of our athletes performed very well today,” Fredonia coach Tom Stokes said. “They made their coaches and school proud of them in the competition all weekend. Lydia, Emily and Diego all have a consistent desire to improve and perform at a high level; that is part of why they have been so successful.”
