Hurricane defeat Ohio
BROCTON — The Chautauqua Hurricane basketball team moved to 5-3 on the season Friday with a 145-143 win over the Ohio Bootleggers at Brocton High School.
“Each team went on runs and we went on the last one and pulled it out in the end,” Hurricane coach Jerome Moss said. “It was right down to the wire.
“The guys came out and played consistent offense throughout the game. … We can continue to get better,” Moss added.
Marcus Feagin led Chautauqua with 37 points and 23 rebounds. Ralph Williams also had a double-double, with 23 assists and 22 points, as did Nate Hill with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Larry Rivers contributed 22 points, Johnny Marsh added 19 points and Travonta Gatewood scored 16 points for the Hurricane.
The Hurricane are back in action Friday in Brocton against their rival, the Jamestown Jackals.
