Devils’ volleyball team wins a pair

The Fredonia women’s volleyball team grabbed a pair of wins to improve to 3-1 Saturday. They defeated Keene State and Wells College at the Red Dragon Classic at Cortland.

Against Keene State, SallyAnne Rudny (Jamestown/Southwestern) had 17 kills, while Kailey Falk had 10, and Emily Jones had nine. Amanda Mosack collected 52 assists in the five-set match. Falk added five aces.

Defensively, Rachel Aiello had 24 digs, and Rudny and Falk had 17 apiece. Jones, Falk, and Emma Falk each had five blocks.

Fredonia won by set scores of 25-14, 18-25, 21-25, 25-22, and 15-13.

In the win over Wells, Kailey Falk had 14 kills and Brinn Shaughnessy had 13. Rudny had 10 kills.

Mosack added 47 assists.

Aiello had eight aces, and Mosack and Rudny had four apiece. Fredonia had 22 aces for the match. Aiello again led the team in digs, with 17, and Rudny had 10.

The set scores were 3-1 in favor of Fredonia (25-14, 23-25, 25-17, 25-12).

Fredonia is travels out East for the Vassar Invitational next weekend.
