‘Billies top Black Knights on ‘Spike Out Leukemia’ night

SILVER CREEK — The Fredonia Lady ‘Billies varsity volleyball team picked up a win on Wednesday, defeating the Silver Creek Black Knights in three sets, 26-24, 25-16, 25-14, at Silver Creek High School.

The game had a little bit of extra meaning to it, as Wednesday was ‘Spike Out Leukemia’ night at Silver Creek High School.

Silver Creek was led by Madison Mott with four kills and three digs, while Julia Hill added nine assists, four kills and four aces. Savannah Dawley added six digs for the Black Knights.

Fredonia was led by Nagely Vazquez with six aces and three kills, while Anna Valone added six aces, eight kills and 12 digs.

Silver Creek (5-9) will host their senior night on Monday in a non-league game against Pine Valley. Fredonia finished their regular season at 7-7.
