Hornets bowling sweeps Black Knights, 4-0
SILVER CREEK — The Forestville bowling team traveled to Silver Creek for a Section VI bowling matchup, on Wednesday.
Both the boys and girls team swept the Black Knights, winning 4-0. The boys scores were 775-754-795-2,324 for Forestville and 723-727-712-2,162 for Silver Creek.
The boys effort from Forestville was led by Brandon Erick who rolled 168-179-188-535, Zach Barlette-Dye shot 181-155-460, Nate Barlette-Dye had 169-158-451 and Brayden Smith scored high game of 210. The Black Knights were powered by Danny Paterson with 201-201-157-559 and Jeff DeBergalise with 190-172-178-540.
“It was our first league play,” said Silver Creek coach Jason Mirek. “The boys match was very close, they just edged us out.”
The girls match was also very close with Forestville scoring 516-555-563-1,634 and Silver Creek shooting 491-520-509-1,520.
The Lady Hornets were led by Ashley Forbes scoring 180-155-446 and Tristan Olsen rolling 164-145-437. Silver Creek’s Andrea Olsen had a fantastic day on the lanes, rolling 209-202-151-562.
“Was a bit of a slow start. It’s a young team on the girls side,” said coach Mirek.
On Monday night, both the Forestville boys and girls bowling teams swept Clymer-Sherman. The Forestville boys won with a score of 822-812-703-2,337, while Clymer-Sherman finished with 449-479-551-1,479.
Forestville was led on Monday by Nate Barlette-Dye with 197-593, Zach Barlette-Dye with 201-567, and Brayden Smith with a 202 game.
Forestville’s girls finished with a score of 641-696-599-1,936, while Clymer-Sherman finished with 605-489-447-1,541. Tristan Olsen led Forestville with 215-200-597. Ashley Forbes added 233-565.
Silver Creek (0-1) will travel to Clymer today, competing at Cutting Lanes.
Forestville (2-0) is yet to lose a single game and will look to stay perfect today when they compete in Frewsburg.
