Lady Cougars beat Salamanca, 53-41

SALAMANCA — The Cassadaga Valley Lady Cougars pulled away in the fourth quarter on Friday to end the season with a win on the road, 53-41, over Salamanca in non-league girls basketball action.
Cassadaga Valley (13-7, 6-6) outscored Salamanca by eight points in the fourth quarter to come away with the win. A big reason was Brooke Repine, who led the Lady Cougars with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Bella Ruiz had 14 points, while Meghan LeBaron had nine and Mckenzie Haskins had eight. Kaylee Pattyson added six rebounds.
Darelynn Buffalo had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Salamanca (2-18, 0-10), while Zoe Gross had nine points, 10 rebounds and five assists. Salamanca only had six available rotation players for the contest.
Both teams now await the release of the sectional playoff brackets, which are decided this morning.
