WESTFIELD — Sophia DeMarco scored 19 points and added 10 rebounds in her final regular season game with the Westfield/Brocton Wolverines on Thursday, and led them to a 52-24 win over Forestville in non-league action.

The Wolverines were able to try a couple of different presses to confuse the Hornets en route to their victory.

“It was a game where we were able to try a couple of different things before playoffs,” said Westfield/Brocton head coach Dave Mathews. “We tried a couple of different presses and stretched our legs out a little bit.”

Susie Wolfe added 13 points and five steals in the Wolverine victory.

For Forestville, they were led by Clare Kingsfield with 11 points and Phoebe Kingsfield with seven points.

“Forestville is a much improved team,” said Mathews. “If they stick to it they’ll be able to improve even more next year.”

With the Class C2 standings pretty much locked in, the Wolverines are looking at a first round date with Frewsburg in Frewsburg once the playoffs get started next week.

Westfield/Brocton finished their regular season at 5-15.
