Fredonia parents charged with manufacturing meth

Two Fredonia parents were taken into custody for allegedly manufacturing meth.
According to Fredonia Police, officers responded to a domestic incident at 51 Wisteria Drive Thursday. While there, an active clandestine lab that was being used to manufacture methamphetamine was allegedly discovered.
A portion of the housing complex was secured for clean-up and disposal with the assistance of the Fredonia Fire Department, and the Chautauqua County Haz-Mat Team.
Residents Johnny R. Evans, 35, and Katie M. Evans, 35, were arrested and charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child, one count of unlawfully manufacturing methamphetamine and one count of unlawful disposal of methamphetamine.
They were sent to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash/$100,000 property bond bail.
Their five children are under the Supervision of the Chautauqua County Child Protective Services. The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force assisted the Fredonia Police Department with the investigation.
