Fredonia man charged following crash

A Fredonia man was charged following an accident Tuesday night.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, around 11 p.m. deputies were dispatched to an address on Fredonia-Stockton Road in the town of Pomfret for a report of a motor vehicle accident with the report of possible injuries. When deputies arrived on scene they spoke with Richard E. Weber, 27, of Brigham Road, Fredonia, whose vehicle had left the roadway.

Fredonia Fire Department arrived on scene and evaluated Weber. Weber signed off on treatment from the Emergency Medical Service. According to deputies, after a brief investigation it was discovered that Weber’s driving privileges in the state of New York had been revoked and suspended.

Weber was issued traffic tickets for third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and speeding. He will appear in Pomfret Town Court at a later date to answer to the charges.
