Naloxone used on unresponsive male

SHERIDAN — On Sunday night at approximately 10:15 p.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office received the report of an unresponsive male, who had overdosed on Miller Road in the Town of Sheridan. Deputies arrived on scene and administered two doses of Naloxone to the male subject. After a short time, the male subject became responsive and his condition became stable.

Naloxone is a medication used to block the effects of opioids, especially in overdose.

The male subject was then transported to Brooks Memorial Hospital by EMS for further treatment.
