Two Dunkirk men charged with robbery, larceny at fair

Two Dunkirk men were charged with grand larceny following an incident Thursday night at the Chautauqua County Fair.

At around 10:30 p.m., deputies responded to a robbery that occurred at the Chautauqua County Fair Grounds, in the city of Dunkirk.

It was alleged that Christian J. Mota-Cruz, 23, of Dunkirk and Benjamin Catalino, 22, of Dunkirk, had forcibly took property from an individual, and while doing so, displayed a weapon. Both subjects were located shortly after and taken into custody.

They were arraigned on the charges of robbery in the first degree and grand larceny in the fourth degree in Dunkirk Town Court. They were taken to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
