William and Patricia (Lyman) Novaro celebrated their 48th anniversary at a surprise get-together thrown by their daughter, Lori Novaro-Diehl, on April 23 at the First United Presbyterian Church in Silver Creek. They were greeted by over 80 friends and family members and enjoyed appetizers, a full menu with their favorite entrees made by Lori and heavenly cupcakes made by a family friend. Conversations were plentiful and stories of the good-ole-days were heard at every corner. William and Pat are life-long residents of the area and enjoy music, helping animals and bus trips. Congratulations were give to the mom and dad (gram and pop, mimi and papa) with love from Lori, Bryan, Kelsey, Skyler, Matthew, Aiden and Cayden. All leftovers were donated to the Soup Kitchen in Dunkirk on Sunday. The family thanked the church for allowing the event to be held in the hall. Appreciation was also expressed to everyone who attended and made the celebration a marvelous success.
