Mr. and Mrs. Michael Brooks

Michael and Deborah Brooks of Fredonia celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Sept. 18. They celebrated with an intimate dinner for two at The Colony Restaurant in Irving. Their children, Michael (Breanne) Brooks and Stacey (Matt) Gorka surprised them by having the waitress tell them their check had been taken care of! Their son Jonathan (Emily) Brooks of Las Vegas, Nev. also surprised them with a Southwest Airlines gift card to come visit! More gifts were hand-delivered by Michael and Stacey on Sunday! The couple have four grandchildren: Mia and Aiden Gorka and Dana and Jonathan Brooks Jr.

The former Deborah Doody and Michael Brooks were married Sept. 18, 1976 at St. Johns United Church of Christ in Dunkirk by Reverend Veldon Grasmick.
