Rural Ministry fundrasiser ‘Banding Together’ Saturday

On Saturday, Chautauqua County Rural Ministry will hold a fundraiser to benefit the Friendly Kitchen.

This fundraiser is affectionately called “Banding Together” for the Friendly Kitchen and will be held at the Dunkirk Moose Lodge 89, which has graciously donated space for this event.

The event will include a chicken barbecue, silent auction, basket raffle, wine raffle, and last but certainly not least, some amazing musical entertainment headlined by Nashville recording artist and one of our favorite hometown sons, Sean Patrick McGraw. Also performing will be Exit 59, Nick and Andy, and featuring DJ Chris Rivera.

The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pre-sale chicken barbecue tickets are available at CCRM offices. The cost is $9 pre-sale and $10 at the door.

Chicken will be sold beginning at noon until sold out.

Opening in 1984, for more than three decades, the Friendly Kitchen continues to serve well-balanced, nutritious meals seven days a week, 365 days a year to those who may not otherwise have the means of a healthy meal.

Besides being a place to eat a nutritious meal, the Friendly Kitchen offers an environment that is warm, friendly and promotes healthy relationships for the people who come there to eat.

Volunteers from the community prepare and serve 17 meals each week, serving over 36,000 meals to people in the community, with 25 percent being children from the community. It is an integral part of the community and people’s lives.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Friendly Kitchen.

Please join in this exciting event of great music, great food, and great fun.

Call CCRM offices at 366-1787 for details regarding tickets or contact any CCRM Board of Directors member.

CCRM is a United Way of Northern Chautauqua County Community Partner.
