Group drumming up donations for charity

Submitted Photo

The Rubbermade Brigade is reintroducing itself. “We is old, so we get towed,” is their motto. It may be all in fun, but they are serious about their goal. The proceeds collected from their parades goes to Roswell Park Institute, Juvenile Diabetes and Lakeshore Humane Society. The Rubbermade Brigade is very thankful for the people along the parade route for donating their hard-earned money for their cause and for the support offered over the years. At the Chautauqua County 4th of July parade in Mayville, the Brigade took second place in the People’s Choice Award, with the Blue Star Mothers taking first and Diana’s Warriors taking third. The Rubbermade Brigade is always looking for people to help, whether walking with the Brigade or as playing members. The Rubbermade Brigade will be in the Fredonia Farm Festival, The Seneca Nation Fall Festival and the Silver Creek Grape Festival. If interested in joining or helping out, contact the Brigade at the parades or call Lenore Pucci-Roof at 410-5923.
