Golden Agers to hold public forum

LAKEWOOD – The next meeting of the Lakewood-Busti Golden Agers will be on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at 1 p.m. in conjunction with a public forum with the Chautauqua County Office of the Aging. Interested parties are invited to attend and comment on: what community services are most needed by older people, their families and caregivers, and people who have disabilities and what OFA should emphasize in the 2017 plan for programs and services.

The Oct. 18 meeting will begin at 1 p.m. with a “Hobo Dinner” at 12:30 p.m. Dinner reservations are required. For LBGA members, the dinner cost is $6 and reservations should be made by calling Connie at 763-0544 no later than Monday, Oct. 10. For non-LBGA members, cost will be $8 and reservations should be made by calling OFA at 753-4471 no later than Oct. 10. No reservation or cost is required for those attending the public forum at 1 p.m. only.

Especially invited to attend the public forum are older individuals, their families or caregivers, public officials, agencies, members of the general public, and others interested in aging and long term care services and supports.
