Scouts make a difference

Submitted Photo

Make A Difference Day was conducted in Cassadaga by the American Legion Auxiliary with the able help of Boy Scout T219 and Cub Scout P219 by collecting nonperishable food items and monetary donations in the community. This year collection points were set up at the Cassadaga Shurfine and Ames Common as well as the Sinclairville Superette and the Gerry Free Methodist Church. Donations from the Cassadaga area went to the Cassadaga Food Pantry and those from Sinclairville and Gerry went to the Sinclairville Food Pantry. Anyone who was not able to make a donation at those points is asked to call Roger Higgs at 595-8718 for a pickup or drop monetary donations in the mail to: Cassadaga Food Pantry PO Box 212, Cassadaga, N.Y.  14718. The food pantries, Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts of 219 and the Cassadaga American Legion Auxiliary want to thank everyone who donated for their generosity to help those in need. Pictured are Paul Moore (left) and Calvin Hilliker.
