Dunkirk High School proudly presents “Little Shop of Horrors.” Dunkirk High School Musical is one of the top 10 finalists selected for the 2018 Kenny Awards presented through Shea’s Performing Arts Center. “Little Shop of Horrors” will be performed in the Dunkirk High School Auditorium on Friday and Saturday, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and are available at the door. As a community, let’s pack the house and show the Kenny judges our support for the program. Little Shop tells the comedic story of the meek flower shop assistant Seymour, who pines for co-worker Audrey. During a total eclipse, he discovers an unusual plant he names Audrey II, which feeds only on human flesh and blood. The growing plant attracts a great deal of business for the previously struggling store. After Seymour feeds Audrey’s boyfriend, Orin, to the plant and Orin’s accidental death, he must come up with more bodies for the increasingly blood-thirsty plant. The musical involves more than 40 students and is directed by Jeannine Van Wey with assistance from her creative team: Joanne Michalski, Rock Vallone, Colleen Newton, Rich Newton, Jenn Scarem and Adam Woelfle.
