Lots of winners in Leon event

LEON –The Leon Fire Co. 1 held their annual Benefit and Turkey Raffle recently.

The success of the event is attributed to the many sponsors, donors, and workers . In a small town, teamwork is what it’s all about and that was evident to all who attended.

Main ticket prize winners were: Charlie Beach (Traditions Vortek Striker Fire, sponsored by LFD); Johnne Yoder ($100 sponsored by Hirschman Development); Fred Beeman ($100 sponsored by T’s Home Restorations); Todd Kilby ($150 gift card sponsored by South Dayton Super Duper & LFD); Howard VanRensseler ($100 gift card sponsored by Jeff/Pat Bromley and George/Sandy Prior); Emanuel Miller ($100 sponsored by NOCO); Bill Hunt ($100 gift card sponsored by Zollinger’s Hotel & MJ’s Tavern); Matt Lindahl (Wooden Silverware Chest donated by Slabaugh’s Custon Woodworking); Tim Wissman ($100 sponsored by Aim High).

The theme basket/gift item auction was well supported and a huge thank you goes out to all who donated items for this very popular activity.

The evening only feature gun was won by Samuel Yoder. The big prize of $500 was won by Dale Snyder. After a brief rest, the department will begin planning next year’s benefit and turkey raffle. An event you won’t want to miss. It is traditionally held the third Saturday of every November.
