25th annual Barn Mass to be held in Forestville

FORESTVILLE — The 25th Annual Christmas Barn Mass will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 6 p.m. in the barn of John and Aimee Rogers’ family farm, 10237 Bradigan Road, Forestville. This event is through the Roman Catholic Faith Community of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, which is comprised of St. Rose of Lima in Forestville and Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Silver Creek.

In addition to the Mass, a Christmas pageant with live animals will adorn the manger setting and cocoa and cookies will be served after the Mass. Be sure to dress warmly!

There will be two collections: The first is the weekly church collection and the second collection will be for the St. Gianna Molla Pregnancy Center in Fredonia, which is an outreach service for families with infants in our own community that need our help!

Parking will be on the street. Last year the attendees parked on only one side of the road which made it safe for pedestrians and for other cars to get through! Drivers are asked to do that again!! Those who need special assistance or parking are asked to see the attendant at the driveway the day of the Barn Mass.

As a reminder, if there is a travel ban in Northern Chautauqua County, the Barn Mass will be cancelled.

Everyone is welcome to attend this joyful celebration, as it will be a reminder to us all: THE Reason for this Season is the Birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ!

For more information, call John or Aimee Rogers at 965-4321.
