JAMESTOWN — Dr. Scott Stoleson will take you to “Iguazu Falls and Beyond” at Audubon Community Nature Center’s next First Friday Lunch Bunch, Dec. 7, 11 a.m.

Enjoy the natural beauty of Argentina and Brazil as Stoleson shares stories and photos of his journey. The mist-shrouded Iguazu Falls make up the most vast waterfall system in the world with some of the largest remnants of coastal forests, home to over 500 species of birds.

This presentation will reach from the heights of Iguazu Falls to the Coastal Forest and down to explore some of the largest marshes in Argentina’s Corrientes province, with avian oddities like the big flightless Rheas and other fascinating birdlife.

From Sugar Grove, Pennsylvania, Dr. Scott Stoleson is a professional ornithologist who has published over 60 scientific papers on the ecology and conservation of birds. He has conducted avian research in the western United States, Central and South America, and has led natural history tours to the Caribbean and Latin America. He holds a Master banding permit and has banded birds for nearly four decades.

Guests are invited to bring a brown bag lunch and relax afterward to learn more about Stoleson’s adventures. Coffee and tea are provided.

The fee for attending is $8 or $6 for Nature Center Members. Registrations are accepted online on the Programs page at auduboncnc.org through Thursday, Dec. 6. Walk-ins are welcome.
