City of Dunkirk announces business grant program

Mayor Wilfred Rosas has announced the city of Dunkirk’s “Back to Business Small Grant Program.” This program is intended to help businesses in the City of Dunkirk keep their employees on payroll and stay afloat during these times of economic hardship due to the impacts of COVID-19.

Applications and guidelines will be made available on Tuesday and can be found on the City’s website, emailed, or mailed to interested businesses. Businesses are encouraged to apply for this funding to help make payroll, to pay bills, and keep their operations going.

This program will be administered by the City of Dunkirk Planning and Development Department and allocated in accordance with program guidelines. This Program is meant to bridge the gap for a brief financial hardship period with funding provided by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Community Development Block Grant Program. For questions or interest in acquiring an application please reach out to Rebecca Wurster or Jill Meaux through email at rwurster@cityofdunkirk.com and jmeaux@cityofdunkirk.com or phone at (716) 366-9879.
