Brocton Central School officials recently announced the school’s Students of the Month for June. They are Chyanne Whitaker and Grace Lundin.

Chyanne is in 10th grade and is the daughter of Gene and Gigi Whitaker of Pomfret. She is a member of the varsity softball team, a flautist in the Brocton High School band and an Honor and Merit roll student. Outside of school, Chyanne enjoys big and small game hunting, 3D archery target shoots, riding 4-wheelers, learning carpentry with her dad and traveling. Her favorite subject is history/social studies. In the future, she plans to pursue a career in animal control and continue helping with her family’s construction business.

Grace is in sixth grade and is the daughter of Jeffrey and Kimberly Lundin of Portland. She is a High Honor Roll student. She is a member of the Brocton Middle School band and chorus. Outside of school, Grace likes to craft, draw, sketch and paint. She enjoys playing soccer and plays indoor soccer in Westfield. She takes dance lessons. She enjoys going to the beach and looking at the water. Grace’s favorite subject is lunch because she loves to eat and library because Mrs. Becker is nice.
