Steps to Serenity Al-Anon Group to resume in-person meetings

FREDONIA — The Steps to Serenity Al-Anon Group will resume in-person meetings beginning today at the Harvest Chapel Church on Matteson Street in Fredonia. The meeting will begin at 6:45 p.m. Those attending should bring masks. Social distancing will be adhered to. Further room directions will be posted on the door of the back parking lot. The Chestnut Street access to the church is closed, so those attending should use Temple Street onto Matteson Street. The group will simultaneously utilize its Zoom meeting from the chapel. Dunkirk Police Department cancels National Night Out event

The Dunkirk Police Department has canceled its National Night Out event scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 1, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. David Ortolano, Dunkirk police chief, said the event may be rescheduled.
