Northern Chautauqua Club Associates hold first meeting since pandemic

The Northern Chautauqua County Club Associates held its first meeting of the season, and the first since February, recently at the Sheridan VFW on Route 20 in Sheridan.

Quartermaster Joe Granata welcomed the group, which was about average, despite COVID restrictions. Masks were worn by all except when eating, and social distancing was observed.

The meeting was opened with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by a moment of silence for deceased members.

Roll call of officers and clubs was taken, one club not attending.

Secretary Jim Pryll read the minutes of the previous meeting, and treasurer Tom Halicki gave the financial report.

Discussions were held on how the virus has affected our clubs and events. It was noted that the Kosciuszko Club would be holding celebrations for its 100th anniversary. Of course, all clubs events have been canceled until further notice.

The next meeting of the association will be held on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 10:30 a.m. at the Fredonia Beaver Club. All COVID restrictions will again be in effect.
