Silver Creek Senior Citizens Meeting November 9, 2021

SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek Seniors Citizens met on Tuesday, Nov. 9 with 31 members present. President Ed Newman opened the meeting with the pledge to the flag and everyone singing America The Beautiful. He then welcomed Pauline Flitt back and she then gave a reading of “Everyone if Special” and a blessing of all the pot luck dishes.

Gifts were won by Lorrie Newman, Pauline and Eleanor Lemiszko. The 50-50 winners were: Joan Militello, Sue Borowski and Dixie Carlson. Having the winning wheel cards were: Ed, Claudia Markham Ahl, Sue, Rose Cerrie, Angie Logan, Gene Chesbro, Ginny Chesbro, Ron Conover, and Sally Connover. Jan Snyder called bingo and the lucky winners were: Rose, Annette Hoeber, Lorrie, Mary Ann Seibert, Angie, Judy Hahn, Phyllis Burghardt, Bob Sutehall and Ed.

Next week we will bring our own brown bag lunches. At 2:15 p.m. the public is invited to our club for the presentation by representatives from the Region 9 UAW Housing Corporation for the proposed redevelopment and transformation of the former Silver Creek High School into Senior Apartments. This will also be available on zoom or by phone at 1-929-436-2866. They will have refreshments available.
