St. Joseph’s bingo

Bingo will take place at St. Joseph’s parish, 145 E. Main St., Fredonia. Doors open at 5 p.m.; bingo begins at 7. Masks should be worn by those not vaccinated and social distancing will be observed.

Valley Historical Society picnic and Treasure Trove program

Sinclairville Ballpark, 6 p.m. All those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass and personal table service and beverage. Attendees are asked to bring an item of old and interest to show and tell. All are welcome.

Dunkirk Police and Fire Departments National Night Out

Washington Park, 6:30 p.m. Meet McGruff the crime dog, meet polce officers and firemen, Enjoy music from “The Rising” at the Gazebo. “Encanto” is the movie in the park at dusk, around 8:15. Parents must not send their children to this event alone.

Cherry Creek Summer Gazebo Concert Series

1891 Fredonia Opera House Cinema Series

The 1891 Fredonia Opera House presents “Elvis.” 7:30p.m. The life and music of Elvis Presley (Austin Butler) are seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his manager Colonel Tom Parker (Tom Hanks). Tickets are $7 for adults, $6.50 for Opera House members/seniors, $5 for students.

Dunkirk Farmers’ Market

Cassadaga’s National Night Out

Ballfields behind BOCES, 175 Maple Ave., Cassadaga, 6 to 8 p.m. Cassadaga Fire Department equipment from the Cassadaga and Stockton volunteer fire departments will be on display. Chautauqua County’s Sheriff’s Department and the New York State Police will have demonstrations as well as K-9 officers. Bubba’s Food Wagon will have snacks for sale and a bounce obstacle course. Ther will be a Cub Scout Pack info and sign-up booth.

Lakeshore Humane Society Wednesday open adoption hours

The Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk, will hold open adoption hours from 6 to 8 p.m. The public is welcome to see the dogs and cats in need of loving homes. Tours of the facility will not be given. Individual appointments are available throughout the week by leaving a message at 716 672-1991; press “1” for dogs or “2” for cats. One must be 21 years of age or older to adopt a pet. The Cat’s Meow Boutique will be open for purchases by the public. For details, call 716 672-1991.
