Lakeshore Humane Society Saturday “Souper Bowl Saturday” pet adoption day

The Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk, will hold open a special “Souper Bowl” adoption day from noon to 3 p.m. A variety of homemade soups will be available for purchase. For $20, guests can have their soup and take home a beautiful soup bowl with the LHS logo hand-crafted by local artisan Lisa Eppolito. There will also be bread, beverage and dessert. Lunch without the artisanal bowl is available for $15.

The Trinity United Church, located at Erie Avenue and Park Street, Gowanda, will host a take-out only free community meal at the Park Street entrance from 4 to 6 p.m. or gone. The menu is homemade soup, salad, bread and cookies. Free will donations are appreciated but not necessary.
