New art exhibition to open at SUNY?Fredonia

An exhibition designed to offer a glimpse inside the human mind and into other worlds is coming to the Cathy and Jesse Marion Art Gallery at SUNY Fredonia.

“The Stuff of Dreams,” which features works by Mark Hosford, associate professor of art at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee, and Craig LaRotonda, a visual artist based in Buffalo, opens on Feb. 28 with a reception from 7 to 9 p.m.

This exhibition features animation, illustration, painting and mixed media sculpture combined in an exhibition that explores bizarre imagery of the human mind and offers glimpses of other worlds.

“The Stuff of Dreams” runs through March 30.

It should be noted the gallery, which is located on the main level of Rockefeller Arts Center, is closed the week of March 17 for the campus’ spring break.

Both the reception and exhibition are free and open to the public.

Gallery hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wed-nesday and Thursday noon to 4 p.m.; Friday and Saturday noon to 6 and Sunday noon to 4 p.m.
