JAMESTOWN – On Friday, the Spire Theater Friday Night Jazz Concert Series at 317 E. 3rd Street in Jamestown will feature Andre and the Giants at 7 p.m. The group will perform a variety of classic New Orleans’ styled Dixieland jazz favorites.

Instrumentalists are Jon Wilder on trumpet, Pete Pepke on trombone, Dan McCue on banjo and guitar and Toby Hanks on bass. The band is named after its drummer John Andrea who has performed with the Stu Snyder Jazz Orchestra, Max Davis, Frank Farina, Norm Paduano and the great jazz organist, Jimmy Smith.

Joining the group will be clarinetist and host, John Cross, who cut his musical teeth in New Orleans playing clubs, balls, carnivals and street parades throughout the French Quarter. He teaches music at Cassadaga Valley Central School. The concert is free and open to the public.
