Blue Mule Band to play at Mayville Thursday

MAYVILLE – Musical group The Blue Mule Band are the featured performers for this Thursday’s Entertainment in the Park Summer Concert Series performance. The concert will be held at Lakeside Park in Mayville, located on the shores of Chautauqua Lake and will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The Blue Mule Band has been performing an eclectic mix of traditional bluegrass and upbeat folk music in the Southern Tier for more than 12 years. Members of the band are Gail Pearles, Bernie Dotterweich, Dug Stein, Don Strom and Steve Strom, who use numerous instruments including the banjo, guitar, mandolin, dobra, harmonica, fiddle and bass.

The Entertainment in the Park Summer Concert Series is provided free to the public through the sponsorship and support of the village of Mayville and town of Chautauqua. In case of rain, the performance will be held at the Carlson Community Center, also located at Lakeside Park, Mayville. Remember to bring your own seating for these concerts, whether held inside or outside. A 50/50 drawing will be held at each of the performances this summer, with the winner announced just before the end of the concert. The Maple Springs Fire Department will provide BBQ meals benefiting its Fire Department, as well as the Mayville Fire Department providing water and popcorn on a donation basis.
