The North Shore Arts Alliance announces that the 11th annual Chautauqua-Lake Erie Art Trail Open Studio and Gallery Tour will take place over Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-26. One of the artists participating in this year’s Chautauqua Lake Erie Art Trail, is Leslie Calimeri (painting and drawing.

The landscape of Chautauqua County and Western New York inspires Calimeri, whose carefully created compositions in paintings and drawings frame glimpses into the unique regional landscape and build a narrative of life lived here. You can see the influences of classic Dutch and Italian artists in her work.

Born and raised in Cassadaga, she resides in Jamestown and spends much of her time painting and drawing and curating her Chautauqua Art Gallery on Chautauqua Avenue in Lakewood. Most recently, she has been working on portraits of people and houses.
