Opera House to present Journey, Tom Petty & John Mellencamp Tribute Show

The 1891 Fredonia Opera House will present a special high-energy concert tribute to ’80s artists Journey, Tom Petty and John Mellencamp, all performed by the band Idol Kings on Friday, Oct. 25, at 7:30 p.m.

For more than a decade, the members of Idol Kings have been amazing audiences with their uncanny ability to imitate various artists including Journey, Tom Petty and John Mellencamp, three of the most influential artists from the 80s rock era.

Playing top venues from Indiana to New Jersey and Maine to Georgia, the Idol Kings consistently turn in incredible performances to crowds up to 10,000 strong!

Seasoned professionals hailing from some of the northeast’s most successful cover bands, members the Kings’ credits include recording with Luther Van Dross, Curtis Stigers, Aerosmith, Bob Dylan and more, and writing with, among others, The Oak Ridge Boys.

“Experience three very special concerts in one night,” says Opera House Executive Director Rick Davis. Presenting shows of three of the most popular ’80s super groups — Journey, John Mellencamp and Tom Petty — a night with Idol Kings is always a nonstop party!

The Idol Kings concert is part of the Opera House Spotlight Series, which is generously sponsored by DFT Communications. Tickets are $20 for adults, $18 for Opera House members and $10 for students, and may be purchased in person at the Opera House Box Office or by phone at 716-679-1891, Tuesday-Friday, 1-5 p.m. Tickets may be purchased online at www.fredopera.org anytime.
